Mississippi Pecan Festival
Representatives from Mississippi & Alabama entertained at the 2009 Pecan Festival. This was a teriffic event for all! After entertaining, the participants enjoyed the wonderful booths, rides and great food!

Twelve years ago I was asked to judge the Alabama State "IM" finals. That was the beginning of my affiliation with a program in which I believe and am passionate about. The next year I became a local director and my daughter became involved ( she is now 25 and STILL involved as a director). I then worked as the Mississippi State Coordinator and have since been the Mississippi State Director for the past 8 years.
Through the years, I have watched shy young girls bloom into confident young women. I have heard numerous testimonies from their families stating they believe "IM" played a major role in their development. Our program is not just about a "crown & title," it's about life. It's learning to appear and speak in public, whether it be in your church or at a festival, it's being part of a group that you enjoy and are proud to be part of. It's about family, because we include family in everything we do.
I am so proud of the girls I have watched grow into well rounded young ladies. I am looking forward to the future of our program as we continue to grow bigger and better than ever. We truly offer a wonderful experience to our participants and their families. I invite you to join us...

The Mississippi State Pageant was a huge success and fun for all! Held in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, contestants from all over Mississippi represented their local areas. Though competition was a large part of the activities, the Mississippi participants also had fun at the "Team Spirit" kickoff party, the "Slumber Party" and made friendships that will last a lifetime.
A special thank you to Courtney Owens, Kristy Lewis and Mississippi State Director, Vassie Owens. Congratulations on a job well done Mrs. Vassie!
